Formed in 1976 to further the art and science of growing grapes in cold climates, the Association sponsors workshops, tours, tastings of locally produced wines and sponsors an important annual conference on cold climate viticulture featuring speakers from the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Novice, experienced, amateur or professional/commercial from all states and countries are invited to join.

The Minnesota Grape Growers Association (MGGA) held the “Cold Climate Grape & Wine Conference” on February 14th, 15th and 16th, 2008. The conference focused on the Business of Growing Grapes & Making Wine in the North.
2009 Cold Climate Conference
This years conference will be held February 13th - 15th, 2009 at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. Planning is underway for another schedule of informative sessions on growing grapes and making wine. Set aside the date and plan on this “must attend” event.
2008 MGGA Annual Meeting Please join us at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen on Saturday–January 17th, 2009– for the MGGA Annual Meeting reporting on the past year and our educational Winter Symposium. The $30 fee at the door will buy you lunch with wine and a wonderful wine social following the days activities. Hope to see you there!
