It's not too late to contribute!

Just bring your donation with you to the CCC and turn in during registration!

The CCC Silent Auction Committee is asking for your help to procure items to support the Silent Auction for the 2018 Elmer Swenson Memorial Scholarships.

This year Wine Fest and Silent Auction will be held on Saturday March 17, 2018 in the Grand Ballroom Foyer of the DoubleTree in Bloomington, MN.

Let us know what you're able to bring for the auction!

About The Elmer Swenson Silent Auction
The Minnesota Grape Growers Association began hosting this event in 2010, and has since awarded over $23,000 in educational scholarships for students in support of the continued viticulture commitment of Elmer Swenson. Each year the goal is to generate as much scholarship income as possible to continue to support the Elmer Swenson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Your help is critical to do this!

What We Need
First and foremost, there is no item too small — or too big — to be considered for donation. We can group your donated items with other similar items to create a lovely gift basket. All you need to do is reach out to your local customers, retail partners or business to see what they might be willing to donate. We would love to pair any of these with a bottle of local wine to showcase your area, so be sure to consider including a bottle or two of your wine as an offering.

Examples of donation items:

  • A completed gift basket we can list for auction (see below for ideas of what to include)
Or, if you donate just a few items we can group them together with other items to create a lot for auction.

  • Products unique to your Winery or Vineyard -- (a gift basket or a few bottles of wine)
  • Gift Certificates -- (local businesses, wine tastings, restaurants, hotels, green fees, etc.)
  • Wine books or other wine-related gifts - (corkscrews, t-shirts, ornaments, games, toys, etc.)
  • Wine art from local or other artists - (photo, sketch, or painting of your area or vineyard.) This also could include hand-crafted pottery, iron or wood work, jewelry, etc.
  • Specialty foods and unique olive oils combined with a local wine in a gift basket.
  • Vineyard tools or supplies - (pruners, barrels, racks, gloves, posts, clips, etc.)

The above is just a example. Let your imagination run wild!
